The italian fashion Brand Basile was very popular in the seventies and some of its sunglasses became iconic.
Basile eyewear was designed by Paolo Seminara, the legendary founder of Vogue.
I would call these sun shades the italian version of the Wayfarer.
Basile does not produce eyewear anymore, so these frames are very rare.
